Q. What will the customer experience when making an online purchase with PINPAY?


A. The typical steps are as follows: Customer selects a product to purchase at a merchant's site; Customer fills-in the usual shopping cart information; Customer chooses the PINPAY payment button option versus MasterCard, Visa, Amex, Discover or other card payment option; Customers receive a small window which ask him/her if they want to proceed; Customer will view a window which summaries the purchase transaction data and submit button; Upon selecting submit a secure PIN entry pad will appear on the online customer's computer monitor. In a viewing window of the PIN pad will appear the transaction amount and other information; Customer will be prompted to enter his secure PIN code; Real-time authorization is obtained returning an approval code or if a denial, notice of the reason for denial; the transaction payment monies are then quickly deposited into the merchant's management account.

Q. What happens when PINPAY is required to decline a customer payment request?


A. This typically occurs when the requesting customer's SoftCard account has an insufficient balance to completely pay for the requested transaction. In such cases, within the PIN pad information window the customer is informed of the need to decline the transaction and the reason why PINPAY cannot authorize the transaction at this time.

Q. How are merchandise returns processed?


A. All customer returns, issues of failed delivery, warranty issues, etc., are processed and resolved between the customer, the merchant and possibly the manufacturer. PINPAY does not intervene in return activities, dispute resolution, nor act as an arbitrator or dispute resolution agency. As to the payment transaction event, the PINPAY approved transaction is a final and non-reversible event. Any issues or actions such as credit adjustments, product warranty issues or similar matters must be processed by the merchant and SoftCard holder as a separate independent transaction.

Q. Customer privacy and transaction security is very important, how secure is the customer's PIN and password during a purchase transaction?

Q. How fast and where does a Merchant receive the payments from the online store or in-store transaction?


A. Usually within seconds after the PIN-debit payment transaction is approved the net amount of the transaction is placed into the merchant's PINPAY Merchant Management Account. At anytime thereafter the merchant can withdraw and transfer funds from the Merchant Management Account to another bank or depository of choice. Typically a merchant will retain funds in their PINPAY Merchant Management Account to provide funds for credits to customers when there are merchandise returns or other adjustments to a customer's purchase.

Q. Because transactions are cleared and settled in real-time, how does PINPAY process or handle customer returns or credits?


A. Customer returns and credits are handled by the Merchant SoftCard holder credits can be issued by a PINPAY Merchant. The Merchant informs PINPAY of the customer's card information and special merchant information, plus the dollar amount which is to be credited to the SoftCard holder's account. PINPAY debits the Merchant's PINPAY Merchant Management Account for the authorized amount and deposits the credit to the SoftCard holder's account.

Q. What are the costs and the procedures for currency conversions which may be required to process certain transactions?


A. Transactions on the PINPAY Network are currently only permitted in US currency (USD). Any required currency conversion or exchange is performed by the merchant and customer prior to, or subsequent to, the transaction. Currency conversions may also be performed by the banks participating in the transfer of funds.

A. No. Under International Banking Laws and Regulations, PINPAY is not a bank or to be used as a bank, but an electronic payment and money transfer service.
